Assignments & Lessons

LessonHub keeps creation, assignment, and completion aligned. This page covers the full journey from a student's and teacher's perspective.

Lesson Types

  • Standard (Topic): Open-response questions with optional attachments and notes.
  • Flashcard: Flip-card practice; teachers can add visuals and students work through the deck.
  • Multi-choice: Multiple-choice questions with defined correct answers and optional notes.
  • Lyric: Audio-focused lessons with timed lyrics (LRC optional) and downloads.
  • Composer: Answer prompts to reveal a hidden sentence by selecting the correct words.
  • ArkanING: Arcade-style grammar game with lives and rounds based on teacher settings.
  • News Article: Read and tap words in a news article to earn points and savings.
  • Guides (Hub Guides / Learning Sessions): Multi-step learning cards shown in the Hub Guides tab; can include audio, attachments, and lyric support.

Student Workflow

  1. Find Work: Open a card from your My Lessons dashboard to see the assignment details.
  2. Read: The "Lesson Content View" shows you previews, instructions, audio, and attachments in one place.
  3. Complete: Work through the lesson type—whether it's flashcards, multiple-choice questions, lyrics, or standard text responses.
  4. Submit: Click the submit button in the footer. You'll see a confirmation status once your teacher reviews it.

Sharing Lessons

You can easily share a lesson with others:

  • Tap the Share Icon: Located on any lesson card.
  • Device Behavior: On iPhone/iPad (Safari), this opens the native share sheet. On other devices, it copies a unique link to your clipboard.

Teacher Creation Tools

Teachers have a dedicated suite of tools for building content:

Lesson Form

  • Basics: Set title, price, difficulty, and upload cover art.
  • Audio/Notes: Add supporting audio tracks or extra notes.
  • Instruction Booklets: Quickly insert reusable instructions.

Multi-Choice Creator

  • Questions: Add them one by one or import from a CSV file.
  • Media: Attach reading materials or embed YouTube/SoundCloud audio.
  • Controls: Define correct answers and add explanatory notes.

Flashcard Creator

  • Cards: Create manually or import a bulk list via CSV.
  • Visuals: Upload images for the lesson cover and individual card sides.
  • Preview: See how the cards will look to students immediately.

Guide Creator

  • Structure: Build multi-step guides with up to 4 content sections per card.
  • Import: Upload entire sessions via CSV.

News Article Lesson Editor

  • Article: Paste or edit the news article in markdown.
  • Tap Controls: Set maximum word taps if you want a cap.
  • Preview: Adjust image, difficulty, and instructions for the lesson card.

Grading & Feedback

  • Teachers: Grade via the grading page. You can leave comments on individual answers or the entire assignment.
  • Students: View your scores and teacher feedback directly on the assignment page. Your points automatically update your Leaderboard standing.

ArkanING: How the Game Ends & Points

  • Game end: The game ends when you run out of lives (based on the lesson settings).
  • Points & savings: Each correct answer awards the points and euros set by your teacher. Wrong answers always deduct 50 points and 50 euros.
